Video Game Excitement

It is nice to know that new video game releases can still excite me. Today it was announced that the next installment in the Trais franchise (Trails Beyond the Horizon) would be coming out in the west in autumn 2025 and I felt a genuine sense of excitement at the news.

Granted Trails is my favourite video game franchise but it is exceedingly rare that I feel such genuine excitement about a new game’s release these days; and when I do feel it, it is almost always a game in the AA or indie space.

2025 is shaping up to be a fine year for JRPG, and Trails fans specifically, and I am here for it.
